Pluggable X Jet Blast, Now Available in 130mm in Select Shanks!
New redesigned with angled coolant holes that are plugged from the factory. The cross connecting hole in the holder intersects the bottom of the shrink bore to prevent cutters from cutting off coolant flow.
- Angle Coolant Holes
- Pluggable, tapped with set screws installed for coolant thru the tool or around the tool
- Cross holes act as a channel to allow coolant flow even if the holder is against the bottom of the bore
- True Dynamic Balanced for G2.5 @ 25,000 RPM or > 1gmm
All pluggable jet blast holders end with "X" on the part number.

Jet Blast Option
We at Pioneer have invested in an EDM Drilling machine which allow us to customize Jet-Blast coolant holes to your application. It comes down to coolant volume. Every Jet-Blast Holder or collet comes with 2 ports standard. Depending on style and type we have the ability of adding as many holes as your coolant volume can support without losing pressure. The goal is to create a reducing effect to the volume of coolant to maintain or increase pressure. This allows for increased chip evacuation and free cutting.
Any standard Shrink can be modified from stock. Adding a “J” to the end of the part number will provide you with 2 coolant ports. Need additional ports? Add “J 4-Port” to the part number for additional ports (additional fees will apply).
The 1/2 Moon Project
Years ago we outsourced our EDM work and all Jet-Blast was 1/2 moon. That source went out of business and we purchased machines and followed the machine manufacturer's recommendations. Many customers preferred the 1/2 moon
We have changed processes and now can offer 1/2 moon standard on most holders.
Full diameter coolant ports are available on demand. Please specify when ordering.
Slim Nose Extensions
Slim nose extensions are a great fit when wall clearance is cridical. Available in several different shanks and bores.
